Hong Kong Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 have arrived.
It is the time of the year in which fashion designers rush to show their beautiful collections. It is also the time of the year which bloggers and fashionistas tear their brains out struggling to decide what to wear to which fashion show and what the dress code for each show may be while staying true to our personal styles while keeping it appropriate for the hot and humid weather in Hong Kong.
Every Season, I try to treat the 4 days like a Fashion Editorial and have a theme which will translate between the 4 days. This year, with the privilege to sit front row in several shows, one of which featuring Hong Kong fashion designers, I’ve decided to feature one HK Fashion Brand in my outfit each day. So here is the rundown of what I wore each day.
As I have shared in my previous post one of my favourite Hong Kong fashion brands in Hong Kong is Modement . Since it was a very hot day, somehow it feels right to wear the Samurai Vest and shorts set in my favourite print of the collection. Also last year at the same fashion show was the show which introduced me to Modement so it feels a little bit sentimental to wear this to the fashion show.
DAY 2 – SKETCHAROUND
SKETCHAROUND is a Hong Kong Fashion Fashion Brand I’ve recently discovered during a shopping trip at Novelty Lane . I really love the way in which the designers integrate Hand drawings into their work. Which is why this top becomes a crucial of my outfit for day 2 ( eventhough sitting down or eating wasn’t easy in that cropped top lol )
DAY 3 – 112MOUNTAINYAM
For me one of the most special moments at fashion week is to see the designer’s faces when I wear their creations hoping that they like my choice of styling, which is why when Mountain Yam told me he will be back from Paris on Day 3, I’ve chosen to wear this suit from the spring summer 2013 collection from his brand 112mountainyam. I’ve really love this print from the collection and it works well with this paper top hat I made at the Stickyline Workshop that day.
DAY 4 – KENAXLEUNG
The outfit for day 4 was an interesting day. This tunic is a sample from his Pre Spring 2015 collection by Kenax Leung which I brought the previous day. The print was very simular to his show for the Spring Summer 2015 collection so I could not resist when I realise the sample fit perfectly. i seldom wear citrus colors but the print on the tunic strangely matched the print on my Jeremy Scott x Longchamp Monster Bag,
So thats my outfit rundown for this season’s fashion week. Can’t wait for the next season in January. If you like those beautiful pieces I wore from Hong Kong Fashion Designers and want to see more, please follow their pages on facebook.
Until next tIme
